Before starting with KW United at the beginning of 2021, I had spent the previous 15+ years at Weichert, Realtors® Durham franchise, where I began as a "Founding Agent" in 2005. I was more than just a successful agent there, though, as I was also the office's Marketing Coordinator, as well as an agent mentor and trainer. All of those experiences have prepared me well to meet my new role with confidence, a role in which I can continue to help sellers and buyers achieve their unique real estate goals.

Prior to entering real estate in 2005, and after college at Western Carolina University, I spent fifteen years in retail management, including as Sales & Operations Manager for WireFree® Communications, Inc. in Durham & Chapel Hill, NC and as Owner & Operator of The Book Zoo, a children’s bookstore in Durham. A loving father of two, stepfather to two more, and the luckiest husband ever, I value family, as well as community & nature. I am excited that KW United and J Patterson Realty place a high premium on giving back to the community. I am a long time member of the Eno River Assoc., helping to preserve that wonderful natural treasure that is such an important part of the Durham and Orange County communities. I was elected by my fellow REALTORS® to serve on the Board of Directors for the Durham Regional Assoc. of REALTORS® (DRAR) for 2011-2014, and I was a 2009 recipient of the NC Assoc. of REALTORS® “Rising Star” Award. I have also served on the DRAR’s Community Service Committee every year I have been in Real Estate, helping to raise over $250,000 for local charities. A native of Durham, I'm proud to still call Durham ‘home’.
